ABOUT
Who we are...
Hey there! We're the water polo crew in Lewisham, South East London. Our story? Well, it all kicked off with a couple of swim teachers ( Martyn and Gabor) adding some water polo ball into their swim class. The kids loved it so much that they wanted more!
We entered our first tournament and, let's be real, we got totally smoooooked. But you know what? The kids had a blast! So, we decided to beef up our game with more practice sessions. Fast forward a year, and baaaam! We won the trophy!
Since that first ball hit the water, things have got busy. Our casual swim sessions turned into a full-blown club. We've racked up wins and trophies left and right, even conquered the London Water Polo League Division 2 Championship .
We're proud to say we've sent two of our stars to the GB National Squad, and loads of our players have made it onto the London Regional Team. We've taken our team abroad for some epic water polo camps and competitions in Hungary. Plus, tons of our players have earned their Duke of Edinburgh Awards right here at the club. We're also offered qualifications - we've got Swim England Water Polo Coach and referee courses for those who wanted to take the next step into the sport.
But here's the real deal – we've become a community. We've brought together kids from all sorts of backgrounds, making friends and memories through the love of water polo ! Better believe the true power of sport !
